On Halloween night, Oct 31st, RWMA is having a Halloween Party in Denville. You must wear a costume or you will not be allowed in! It will run from 7:00pm-12:00, at Luidgi's Clubhouse on route 10. Food and drinks will be supplied, but it's BYOB.

When you enter the complex off of route 10, make the first left. Go up the hill and you will see the clubhouse on your right, at the intersection.

Thank you to everyone who brought a friend to sign up during our Wednesday Night Fights/Membership Drive. Due to it's great success, we are having another promotion for the month of October where if you sign up a friend, you will receive a free Renzo Gracie Competition Gi, and a free month added onto your membership. This will only being going on for a month, so if you've been trying to get a friend down here, now's the time! Let's get this done and expand our school...we're almost there!

Alex and Chris bought fought hard this past weekend in Atlantic City in the Trump Marina. Both of them represented out school to the fullest, and we couldn't have asked anything more from either of them. Chris was the first to go from our school, the 4th fight of the night. After throwing his first jab, Chris had already taken his opponent to the ground and landed on top. He transitioned flawlessly, ending the fight in the first round with an impressive armlock from the bottom and looked as if he broke his opponents arm. After a some time, and a few more matches Alex fought as the 9th fight of the night. He didn't have a size or weight advantage coming into the fight, so he relied on his technical stand up to win the fight. His opponent was a very strong wrestler and tough all around, so we knew the fight was going to go all three rounds. In the end if you stood both fighters side by side and asked anyone who won the fight, they would answer Alex without a doubt. However his opponent was persistant with  takedowns and earned enough points to win  the rounds. Overall, it came down to a split decision and the fight was given to his opponent; it was a very close call. Congratulations to the both of them, we're proud of you!
